Trio

The Eurydice Trio was formed by three students of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Jessica Lukken (violin), Joshua Hassler-Forest (cello), and Ido Andeweg (piano), who share a deep enthousiasm for chamber music. Currently, they are being coached by Frank Peters at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, but have also received mentoring from violinist Maria Milstein.

Their name was taken from Greek mythology, specifically, from the intriguing story of Orpheus, who was able to descend into the underworld to recover his beloved thanks to his emotional and loving music performances. Music was viewed as something that could even triumph death during the age of the ancient Greeks, which inspires the trio to convey emotion via their music.
